Arvada Housing Authority

The Authority was established in 1976 to provide for safe and sanitary housing primarily for persons of low and moderate income. The members of the Arvada City Council are appointed ex efficio as Commissioners of the Authority. The Mayor shall  be Chairperson of the Authority and the Commissioners elect from their members a Vice Chairperson. The Authority meets a minimum of twice per calendar year at the call of the Chairperson. An Executive Director is retained by the Authority and serves as Secretary for the Authority. The City of Arvada Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization Division within the Community Development Department provides staff and administrative support for operating Authority programs and functions.
