Three Arvada Parks Get Regional Attention

Looking for a beautiful place to take a walk, ride your bike, or relax in the sun? Arvada is proud to boast about more than 140 parks and 125 miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. And, three of those incredible parks were named in a recent feature in the Denver Post “30 Days 30 Parks.”

Arvada landed an impressive position as DAY 1 for McIlvoy Park (located at Ralston Road and Grandview Avenue). Among many notable highlights, the pinwheel garden garnered praise. On DAY 15 readers were encouraged to return to Arvada and visit Majestic View Park (72nd and Holland Street) for its Nature Center and educational opportunities. Finally on DAY 29, Hoskinson Park (Brooks Drive and Carr Street) was placed on the list. Although the article clearly mentions that this park is closed until spring of 2013 for drainage improvements, the anticipation for this park is growing.
