The City of Arvada uses volunteers in several places in the organization but at the present time we do not have a volunteer coordinator and so we do not coordinate volunteers through a single application process.
The Arvada Police Department uses volunteers in a variety of assignments. If you are interested, you apply on line with the link at the bottom of this page under "links."
The Arvada Reservoir uses volunteers to serve as rangers to check permits, collect fees at the gate, and assist people around the area. Contact Tom Griffiths at 720-898-7416 for more information.

An Adopt a Street program keeps roadways clean. Contact the City Utilities Department at 720-898-7760 for information about streets available for adoption.
An Adopt a Trail program focuses on keeping trails clean and maintained throughout Arvada. Contact Tom Griffiths at 720-898-7416 to find out where you can help.
The Municipal Court uses teenage volunteers to run a program called Teen Court; however, they take a break through the summer. You might consider checking into this program when school starts again next fall. Contact the Municipal Court to find out more about this program, 720-898-7150.
Table Mountain Animal Center (TMAC) is Jefferson County's animal shelter where a large portion of the funding to operate the shelter and comes from the public and volunteers play a vital role in day to day operations. TMAC serves all cities within Jefferson County and Animal Control officers take lost pets. To contact TMAC, call 303-278-7575.
Board and Commission members are appointed by the City Council each year. Applications and interviews are required. Look for the application and information in the Arvada Report in January of each year or contact the city clerk's office, 720-898-7550.
