Volunteer Opportunities

The City of Arvada utilizes volunteers in several areas of the organization and does not coordinate volunteers through a single application process. Please contact individual departments for more information.

The Arvada Police Department utilizes volunteers in a variety of assignments.  If you are interested, you may apply online at arvadapd.org/partnerships/volunteer.

 The Arvada Reservoir utilizes volunteers to serve as rangers to check permits, collect fees at the gate, and assist people visiting the reservoir. Contact Ken Billips at 720-898-7415 for more information.

The Arvada Center utiizes volunteers to help with ushering, children's programs, gallery activities and events, and office work. Contact the Arvada Center at 720-898-7211.

An Adopt a Street program keeps roadways clean. Contact the City Utilities Department at 720-898-7760 for information about streets available for adoption.

An Adopt a Trail program focuses on keeping trails clean and maintained throughout Arvada. Contact Craig Hillegass at 720-898-7422 for more information.

The Municipal Court utilizes teen volunteers for their Teen Court. Contact Tami Rice 720-898-7153 for more information.

Board and Commission members are appointed by City Council each year. Applications and interviews are required. Contact the City Clerk's office at 720-898-7550 for more information.
