Child Safety Tours

Safety Education programs for children are given in the elementary schools.  Examples of such programs are: Stranger Awareness and Latchkey Safety, Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety, How to Use 911, Crime Prevention and Operation Lifesaver.  To get a program in your school, contact the Child Safety Coordinator at 720-898-6872 or submit a service request.

Groups of citizens, students, scouting troops and other similar organizations can request tours of the Police Department.  Tours are tailored to the group’s age or specific need.

Arrangements for the tours, safety programs, and any additional information are available by visiting the Arvada Police Department located at 8101 Ralston Road, or by calling 720-898-6872.  Tour groups should be no larger than 15 to 20 persons, and arrangements should be made 2 to 3 weeks in advance.
