Soft Pellet Gun Law

The Colorado Revised Statues, State Law, defines a "Handgun" as a pistol, revolver, or other firearm of any description, loaded or unloaded, from which any shot, bullet, or other missile can be discharged.

Using this definition air soft pellet guns are considered handguns. It is unlawful for any person who has not attained the age of eighteen years knowingly to have any handgun in such person's possession. So, if you are younger than 18 and carrying an air soft pellet gun openly or concealed to your neighbor's back yard you could be charged with illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
