Arvada Animal Management is a unit of the Arvada Police Department that enforces all city ordinances related to animals. State-certified through the Colorado Association of Animal Control Officers and the Department of Agriculture, Arvada Animal Management Officers are highly trained and experienced professionals. Additionally, three of Arvada's Officers are commissioned through the Board of Animal Protection.
The Animal Management unit works diligently to ensure pets are either returned to their owner or adopted. It is a source of great pride that for the past several years, the return-to-owner and/or adoption rate has been more than 90%.
