Thank you for your interest in City Hall 101. The City Hall 101 class scheduled for 2017/2018 is full, and registration is now closed.

What is City Hall 101?

City Hall 101 is a FREE 13 session series of classes offering citizens an in-depth look at city services. Classes cover every aspect of Arvada’s government structure as well as the Apex Recreation District and Arvada Fire Protection District.

Participants in City Hall 101 meet the City Manager and other members of City staff at such locations as the Arvada Center, police station and water treatment facility. Upon graduation from City Hall 101, participants are well-equipped to be effective participants in neighborhood and civic affairs.

In addition to attending classes, participants are asked to come up with a project for giving back to the community. The last class identified projects such as organizing a block party, starting a neighborhood group, volunteering at the Food Bank, reading to children at schools, assisting seniors with yard work and applying for a City board or commission.
