AEDA

The Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) is the community’s business-to-government liaison and a strategic resource for business growth. Operationally funded by the City of Arvada, AEDA’s board of directors consists of seventeen business and community volunteers dedicated to providing innovative solutions for business, as well as attracting targeted industries and helping current businesses thrive.

AEDA and the City of Arvada have been recognized at the state and national level for its business retention program. Its many products and services are provided or enhanced based on input from local businesses, from home-based to major employers.

AEDA’s mission is to sustain a planned and balanced community serviced by a supportive government that provides quality, cost-effective service by facilitating industrial, business and retail development that enhances the community and creates new, well-paying jobs; helps existing businesses prosper and expand; and generates additional revenue for the City. AURA

Arvada Urban Renewal Authority (AURA) is responsible for revitalizing urban areas designated throughout the community by creating successful, high-quality projects that will help produce a vibrant cohesive city and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Arvada.

AURA is an independent body, corporate and politic under the State of Colorado law and governed by a seven member volunteer board appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. The Board works under a common vision dictated by the legally approved urban renewal plan.

Under state law, AURA is charged with assisting the City in eliminating and preventing the occurrence of blight. To carry out this mandate, AURA works in collaboration with elected officials, city administrators, private developers, financing sources, as well as the community.
