Dog Park

The meeting for March 18, 2010 has been canceled.

Arvada's first Off-Leash Dog Park is now open to the public! The park is located at 17975 West 64th Parkway - approximately 1 1/2 mile east of Highway 93 on the north side of 64th (just east of the Arvada/Blunn Reservoir). Open dawn to dusk, 7 days a week, unless otherwise noted.

This is a community operated park; Please follow the posted rules, bring your own water and pick up after your dog(s). No smoking at the park. It is very important that all dogs remain on leash in the parking lot area!

At this time, please do not use the park for commercial use. Respect others and please clean up after your dog. Have Fun!!!

Phase One offers FIVE acres of off-leash fun for dogs to run, play and socialize, a separate area for small/shy dogs, a bench, trash cans, custom bag dispensers (feel free to donate bags to keep them filled), and a BEAUTIFUL view of the Rocky Mountains!!!

We have 15 acres left to develop...

The West Arvada Dog Park is a "Special Use" park.  There are no city funds or tax dollars to pay for improvements or additions to this park.  All donations are tax deductible.  Checks are payable to Jeffco Open Space Foundation and may be mailed to Friends of the West Arvada Dog Park, c/o Arvada Parks, Golf and Hospitality Department, 8101 Ralston Road, Arvada, CO  80002.

Funds are still needed to fully complete this project. Plans of proposed improvements are available at Parks, Golf and Hospitality Services in City Hall. Members of the community meet on a regular basis to plan, fund raise and schedule events.

To place an order for an engraved brick paver, which will be placed at the Dog Park, please  download the order form at right.
