Celebration of Unity and American Spirit
Date: September 11, 2002
The Celebration of Unity and American spirit was created to pay respect to those who lost their lives in the national tragedy a year earlier. This was a very emotional event with over 1500 people in attendance who weathered the rainy night for inspirational music from the Arvada Interfaith Choir and the New Wizard's Oil Acapella Group. The night also included speeches from the mayor, city council members, police chief, fire chief, and other prominent members of the community.
Music For Hope
Date: March 2003
The "MUSIC FOR HOPE" concert featured the 200+ voice Arvada Interfaith Choir from 22 churches and tenor, Charles Langley of the Arvada Center's "Joseph & the Technicolor Dream Coat" fame. The Arvada Boy Scouts of America sung "God Bless America" and other local musicians supported the program. Marty Coniglio was the Master of Ceremonies.
This fund-raiser was sponsored by the City of Arvada Festivals Commission and the Rotary Club of Arvada to support Rotary International's project "Polio Plus" to eradicate the polio virus world wide.
