6th Annual "Wines for the Holidays"
"Last year this event raised over $14,500 and this translated into over $30,000 in purchasing power for the Food Bank", Ernest Giron, Arvada Community Food Bank director.
"Many of last year's guests who recalled the quiet of the libraries of yesteryear felt a bit of mischief in gathering and drinking wine in the library", Suzanne McGowan, library manager.
Raising money for a great community cause and having fun in the Library's relaxed, friendly environment! It's the hallmark of the 6th annual Wines for the Holidays Wine Tasting. Colorado's fine wines will be featured and whether you are a wine novice or a real connoisseur, this tasting is for you! All proceeds from the event go to the Arvada Community Food Bank, which especially needs support at holiday time.
Features of this celebration for a worthy cause are:
- Enjoy a wide variety of wines from Front Range wineries.
- Sample delicious appetizers and desserts which will complement the varieties of wines offered.
- Bid for a worthy cause at the affordable silent auction with over 100 items donated by generous community businesses and individuals including spa packages, over-night get-aways, sports tickets and memorabilia, dining certificates, lavishly wrapped baskets, art and home decor, jewelry and fashion items and an array of services.
