Entertainment, family activities, and great fireworks highlight the City of Arvada's annual Fourth of July celebration of the Spirit of America.

Bring your family and friends to join us for a day of family activities to celebrate on Wednesday, July 4th at the Lutz/Stenger Complex, W. 58th Avenue and Oak St., just west of Kipling, starting at 4:00 p.m.  Festivities organized by Arvada Festivals Commission, the City of Arvada, KOOL105 Radio, and Apex Park and Recreation District include live music, kids' amusements, a classic car show, a military display, great food, and a spectacular fireworks display.  Admission is Free.

Get ready to party at 4:00 PM with some great music provided by the legendary KOOL 105 Radio, featuring classic rock hits from the 60’s to the 90’s.  This year’s entertainment will feature a live band.  KOOL105 is celebrating it's 25th Anniversary in the Denver area and is planning some special activities to keep everyone entertained.  In addition, KOOL105 will simulcast a music medley specially choreographed for the fireworks display.

Free family-friendly events to keep you entertained throughout the afternoon and evening include:

  • Kids’ Park featuring several inflatables, games, and more fun activities.
  • Fire trucks and emergency vehicles on display from the Arvada Fire Protection District and Pridemark
  • A military display provided by the Marines.
  • Craft booths and games
  • Face painting and balloon artists.
  • A midway with community booths and patriotic items for sale.
  • Mini Classic Car Show
  • Food and drinks concession stands and carts.

Fireworks date back to 7th century China, where they were invented.  Fireworks, with a special and beautiful magic, will burst into the sky shortly after 9:00 PM with colorful blasts of light dancing to Kool 105’s collection of great oldies and patriotic music. The fireworks show lasts about 25 minutes and is set off by pre-programmed computers.
