Fall Fun at the Festival of Scarecrows!
Fall would not be complete without the Festival of Scarecrows. It’s free! It’s fun! Join us to celebrate in Olde Town! With new activities each year, there is something for everyone.
- Scarecrow Contest: Check out the gussied-up scarecrows all over town and vote for your favorites. Or create and display scarecrow for a chance to win a prize. Individuals, groups and businesses can enter the contest. Click on Scarecrow Contest link on right side of page.
- New! Decorated Pumpkin Contest: Vote for your favorite work-of-art decorated pumpkin. Or enter one and win a prize.
- 57th Kids Street: Kids! Play on the inflatables, get you face painted, watch the balloon artist and delight in lots of kids activities.
- Pumpkin Patch: Buy a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch filling Town Square. Proceeds benefit the Arvada Community Food Bank.
- Giant Pumpkin Contest: Get wowed by the huge pumpkins (some are over 200 pounds!) competing in a dramatic weigh-in by the Arvada Gardeners.
- Costumed Kids Parade: March with other excited little ghosts and goblins in the Kids Parade around Olde Town Square.
- Miniature Cornstalk Maze: (bring a can of food for the food bank) and the Arvada Fire Protection District’s shiny fire truck.
- Harvest-Themed Fun: Take a tractor-drawn hay ride or talk to the alpacas.
- Festival Booths: Lots to see, taste, and buy at many community booths.
