(ARVADA) – Speed, alcohol and inexperience on a motorcycle are cited as the contributing factors in a motorcycle accident on Friday, August 14 that claimed the lives of a 48-year-old man and 49-year-old woman.
The male driver was traveling eastbound on 72nd Avenue at Nile where he failed to negotiate the turn and struck the curb at approximately 45-50 miles per hour. The posted speed limit is 30 miles per hour.
The male driver had recently acquired the motorcycle and had not been riding regularly for several years. The female passenger had never before been on a motorcycle.
