Robbery Suspects Flee Arvada Chase Bank


Possible serial bank robber 

On July 28, 2008, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the TCF Bank located at 6428 Gardenia Street, Arvada, Colorado, was robbed by white male wearing latex gloves.  The robber passed a demand note and no weapon was seen.  The robber fled west bound on foot with an undisclosed amount of money 

The robber was described as a white male, approximately 45 to 50 years of age, 5’10”, and approximately 190 pounds.  He had a mustache, long curly hair, and was wearing jeans, light in color long sleeve button down shirt, brown work boots, yellow ball cap with a black brim and black logo on front. 

This robber may be responsible for several other bank robberies in the metro area. 


Bank Robber strikes again in Thornton

On September 2, 2008, the bank robber known as the Super Sloth Bandit, entered the Bank of the West, 12080 Colorado Boulevard in Thornton, Colorado.

He entered the bank and displayed a handgun. The robber stole an undisclosed amount of money and fled. It is not known whether he had a vehicle or escaped on foot.

The Super Sloth Bandit is a White Male, approximately 30-40 years of age, about 5'9" and a stocky build. He has dark hair with sideburns. The robber wears a dark bandana over his face; may wear sunglasses, and carries a black or dark-colored canvas bag.  


Attempted Robbery at another Arvada bank 

This afternoon, September 15, 2008, at approximately 3:15 p.m. there was an attempted bank robbery at the CHASE Bank, 8015 Kipling Street in Arvada, Colorado.  

Two males matching the description of the two suspects in the attached press release were observed in the bank.  Something spooked them and they left the bank, leaving the demand note and without stealing any money.  

They were observed fleeing northbound on foot and may have entered a vehicle.
