Arvada police obtained video/audio of a possible suspect in the shooting of a taxi cab driver in the 6000 block of Yarrow Street, just after 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007.

The phone call – which involved a request for cab service – was made from a pay phone at the RTD Park and Ride lot at 55th and Wadsworth just before 1:00 a.m. on May 30.

Arvada police were called to the 6000 block of Yarrow Street an hour later where they found a man who’d been shot.

Note: The distance between the RTD location and the site of the shooting is roughly one mile.

The shooting victim, Janusz Kondracki (first name pronounced Yah-noosh; second name pronounced

Police are hoping that the video will enable viewers to help identify the person on the phone either through his gait, clothing, mannerisms, tone of voice, etc.

Anyone with information should call the Arvada Police Department through the non-emergency line (720) 898-6900.
