Arvada Police apprehended a male and female suspect this morning after an early-morning attempted traffic stop of a stolen vehicle near the intersection of 54th & Kipling Street.
After turning into a parking lot, the female driver, identified as Kimberly Zordel (5-14-91), made a U-turn and scraped the push bar on a patrol vehicle in an attempt to elude police. She drove into the Arvada Station apartments (52nd & Kipling) where the vehicle collided with a concrete wall as both suspects exited the car and fled on foot.
Zordel was apprehended on scene and a loaded handgun was recovered in her possession.
The male suspect, Peter Cline (02-24-82), managed to escape on foot. A perimeter was set up with the assistance of Wheat Ridge Police and a Denver K9 unit responded to assist with a field search, but police were not able to locate the suspect.
Three hours later, at approximately 8 a.m., a Wheat Ridge Sergeant observed Cline walking in front of MedVed Chevrolet and placed him into custody. Cline also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
