National Night Out-- August 4, 2015
Olde Town Square
57th and Olde Wadsworth Boulevard
Residents of Arvada are asked to join Americans across the country by turning on their porch lights to turn off crime.
This year, the first 200 visitors to Olde Town will receive a blue light to put on their porch. A blue light represents support of law enforcement.
“Our hope is to not only turn off crime by turning on porch lights, but also to show that our community supports law enforcement,” said Sergeant DeAndrea of the Community Response Impact Team, the unit that organizes National Night Out in Arvada.
People across the nation will attend various celebrations on August 4, 2015. The biggest National Night Out celebration event in Arvada will be held in the Olde Town Square (near Ralston Road/Olde Wadsworth) and will be in full swing by 5:00 p.m. Visitors will be treated to live music, hamburgers from the grill and more!
Members of the Arvada Police Department will start their evening of visiting National Night Out celebrations at the Olde Town Square at 5:00 p.m. and then travel to several other block parties throughout the city during the evening.

“National Night Out is a great opportunity to meet our residents in a festive environment and to discuss ways to prevent crime as a community,” said Sergeant DeAndrea of the Arvada Police Department.
National Night Out is a National Association of Town Watch initiative, bringing communities together to fight crime.
