Arrest Warrants Issued in Arvada Car Theft Investigation

(Arvada, CO)  -- Between February 2015 and July 2015, the Arvada Police Department received reports of thefts relating to car repair work that was not completed and customers’ vehicles that went missing after a mechanic seemingly disappeared.  The mechanic, Ronald Cox (DOB: 07/02/61), was the owner of Always Available Mobile Mechanics in Arvada.

 

Since the initial investigation, additional victims have come forward, and investigations have resulted in several criminal charges.  Cox currently has outstanding arrest warrants for misdemeanor theft and for three felony counts of motor vehicle theft.

 

He is described as a 5’9” white male, with white hair and blue eyes. He has worn his hair both long and short (as seen in the attached photos).

 

Cox may be living out in a stolen 1998 Red Chevrolet C1500 truck (VIN: IGCEC19R3WR14626) with Texas plate BVR-9393, in the Littleton or Englewood areas.
