Arvada Police Seek Help in Identifying Suspect

The Arvada Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a man who had inappropriate sexual contact with a teenager at the Apex Recreation Center at 13150 W. 72 Avenue on April 6, 2007.

It's believed a 14-year-old boy was in the men's locker room shower when a middle-aged man, who was also in the shower at the time, approached him. The male suspect engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with the teen.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 60s or 70s with white hair and a moustache. He's possibly 5' 8" tall with a potbelly and "flabby" arms. He also had "distinctive" dental characteristics.

An artist developed a composite drawing of the suspect based on the victim's description.

Anyone with information should call Det. Stevens with the Arvada Police Department at 720-898-6718.

Police believe this is an isolated incident.
