Arvada Police Investigate Possible Kidnapping

 

Arvada police are investigating a possible kidnapping involving a man and a woman in their 20s, in the 7200 block of

A resident living in the area heard screaming outside her home when she spotted a struggle between a man and woman in the street. The man then forced the woman into his car and drove toWadsworth Blvd., where he turned southbound.

Police are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding the incident, as it is not clear if this is a domestic violence situation. While the Arvada Police Department has not received any missing person reports that could be related to this case, officers continue efforts to coordinate with other metro area law enforcement agencies.

Descriptions of those involved are as follows:

Female:
5’5”, slender build, between 20 and 25 years of age. She has long, blonde hair with dark roots. She could possibly be Spanish American. Witnesses say she was wearing jeans.

Male:
5' 8”, 160 pounds, and is between 20 and 25 years of age. He has short, dark hair and could possibly be Spanish American. He was seen wearing jeans, white t-shirt and a long, dark blue windbreaker or jacket.

The vehicle is described as an older model (possibly a Chevrolet), medium blue-colored, 2-door car. There is a temporary tag in the upper back window.
