Arvada police have arrested two suspects for their possible involvement in the Burger King robbery/homicide occurring on Sunday, July 15, 2007.
Detectives developed information during the course of the investigation that led to two men (one juvenile, one adult) for their roles in the crime.
It was learned the two suspects were traveling on a Greyhound Bus en route to Florida. Arvada police officers coordinated with members of the Savannah (Georgia) Police Department to contact the suspects during a scheduled bus stop. The two suspects were taken into custody (without incident) just after 10:30 p.m. MST on Monday, July 16.
Arvada investigators flew to Georgia to interview the suspects.

Anthony Lowe, 2/10/85, Arvada
Juvenile male, 17, Arvada
Police believe additional suspects may be involved in this crime, and continue to investigate.
Extradition of the suspects is pending at this time.

Police were called the Burger King restaurant at 64th and Ward Rd. just after 3:00 a.m. where they found two employees: one shot and one requiring no medical attention.
Multiple suspects entered the store and demanded money from the Burger King workers. The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.
Burger King employee, Celia Meza (first name pronounced: Sill-ee-yah, last name pronounced: Mess-ah), was shot during the robbery and was taken to Saint Anthony’s Central where she was later pronounced dead.
