Wines for the Holidays Wine Tasting Event

Whether a novice or a connoisseur, this annual fundraising event is to savor and enjoy. Over 350 guests will fill the Standley Lake Library for a relaxed evening designed to meet friends, learn about Colorado wines, bid on an array of silent auction items, enjoy live musical entertainment, and support a worthy cause--the Arvada Community Food Bank (ACFB).
Guests will enjoy:
· Fine Colorado wines: Enjoy over 100 different wines from eight award winning Front Range wineries: Balistreri Winery, Turquoise Mesa Winery, Silver Vines Winery, BookCliff Vineyard, Avanti Winery, Spero Winery, Augustina’s Winery, and Creekside Cellars.
· Elegant hors d’oeuvres: Savor tasty hors d’oeuvres that complement wine selections. Featured caterers are Gluten Free Things, Three Fat Chefs, Three Sons Premier Catering and Noodles & Co.
· Silent Auction: Do your holiday shopping early at the affordable Silent Auction with over 150 items donated by generous businesses. An array of items include catered dinner for four; western slope get-a-ways; sports packages; sumptuous gift baskets of food, wines, candy, breads; certificates for dining and entertainment; clothing and jewelry, household decorative items; health and beauty certificates; fine wines; art and much more. · Eclectic musical entertainment: Enjoy the sounds of the islands by the Hala Kahiki Band; the lively dulcimer sounds of Three’s Company; and MAG Music from DJ Chris Michalik.
At holiday time, support is needed and appreciated for the ACFB. Last year this event raised $15,350 and ACFB director Ernest Giron said, "For every dollar donated, we can provide more the $2.50 worth of food to feed the hungry.” This is the 30th anniversary year for the Food Bank.
In all, it is a fun event with a charitable purpose – to raise funds and collect food donations for the ACFB, which are especially needed this time of year.
