It’s new! It’s exciting! It’s the third annual Sustain Arvada Festival!
It’s free fun for everyone and a great place to learn more about supporting local choices and creating a sustainable community.
Sustain Arvada Festival and Fine Arts and Craft Fair including a Half Marathon, 5K and 10K Run
Inaugural Park to Park, Half Marathon, 10K/5K and Family Fun Run to be held in conjunction with the festival! Please sign up here for the running race.
This year we have also infused unique fine arts and crafts. Please shop and buy from our local artisan who have re-used, recycled and re-made junk into treasures.
Fitness Zones will be placed in the park including a designated area for outdoor fitness equipment, fitness classes including Palongo, Zumba, Hip Hop, Yoga and Meditation, and a bike zone including a mini bike rodeo and Pedalpalooza's funky bikes!
We are excited about the opportunity for artisans, health awareness advocates, and sustainability vendors this year. Products and information are encouraged at the event. Education and outreach is our goal. We encourage new and innovative businesses that promote sustainability as well as the sale of products that approach 50 percent recycled and repurposed or vintage materials. As usual, we encourage attendance by walking, riding a bicycle or taking the bus.

1:00 p.m. Allen Best, member of the Arvada Sustainability Advisory Committee and Denver Post writer talking about Climate Change and Carbon Fee
2:00 p.m. Regis University Nursing students, will discuss health promotion including stress reduction, nutrition and healthy snack choices
Become an eco hero! This event is a Zero Waste event where the majority of the waste is diverted from the landfill through recycling and composting. Food vendors will be using compostable plates, cups, and flat ware. Plastic water bottles are discouraged.
The Sustain Arvada Festival is a way of honoring Arvada’s rich heritage and preserving our resources to foster economic prosperity, environmental stewardship and community vitality today and into the future. Participants in attendance can expect to learn from each other. We appreciate vendors and exhibitors that incorporate water and energy conservation, transportation, and sustainable agricultural practices into their routine and practices.
