Colorado Community Media, publisher of the Arvada Press, has announced the winners of its 2012 "Best of the Best" readers poll conducted in all nine of its regional publications. The City of Arvada is proud to boast receiving three “Best of the Best” awards in the Sports and Recreation categories for Jefferson County including First Place in Hiking and Biking Trails for its Ralston Creek Trail
The Ralston Creek Trail is the most complete Arvada trail running upstream from the Clear Creek Trail, west, all the way to the Arvada Reservoir. The Ralston Creek Trail was noted for beating out “tough competition” and for combining “the beauty of the area with the functionality of Arvada’s most complete trail passing through 13 different parks.” For more information on the Ralston Creek Trail, and the City of Arvada’s other five trails, visit arvada.org/arts-and-recreation/trails.
Other City of Arvada features receiving "Best of the Best" awards include First Place in Dog Parks for the West Arvada Dog Park and First Place in Golf for the West Woods Golf Club
