Public Works and Utilities
The Public Works and Utilities Department is responsible for planning, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure of the City of Arvada. This Department maintains 1,427 lane miles of paved streets, 400 miles of sewer lines, 551 miles of water lines, and 562,000 square feet of facilities.
Public Works and Utilities Department Services:
- Plans and Completes Street Maintenance and Road Work
- Conducts Snow Removal
- Provides Drinking Water & Sewer Services - In case of emergency, such as a water main break, call 720-898-7760 during normal working hours. After hours or on Sundays/Holidays, call 720-898-7820.
- Assesses Sewer and Water Billing / Rates
- Conducts Stormwater Management and Flood Control
- Coordinates the Adopt-A-Street Program and Arvada Pride Day
- Issues Building Permits and Conducts Building Inspections
- Provides educational materials for Household Hazardous Wastes and Recycling
