Public Input Sought for Olde Town Arvada Parking Study
Over a decade ago, when revitalization efforts first got underway in Historic Olde Town Arvada, the last thing merchants and visitors were worried about was where to park.
Times have changed! Today, Olde Town Arvada (located generally west of Wadsworth Bypass and south of Ralston Road) is a vibrant downtown with an eclectic mix of shopping and restaurants, annual festivals, an interactive fountain, and entertainment. Parking is already at a premium—and a transit station is planned in the heart of Olde Town as part of the Gold Line/FasTracks system.
To address this issue, the City of Arvada is initiating a study of parking supply and demand in the Olde Town area. The public is invited to attend an introductory meeting to provide their input.
WHAT: Introductory meeting on Olde Town Arvada parking issues
WHERE: Arvada Public Library, first floor
7525 W. 57th Avenue
WHEN: Thursday, December 11, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
This pro-active effort by the City will assist in understanding the travel and parking dynamics of Olde Town and surrounding neighborhoods with the coming of the Gold Line. A study team will take input from businesses, institutions, and residents and formulate an Olde Town parking plan to best serve residents, businesses, commuters, and visitors.
A total of three meetings are planned over a six month period.
