Planning Commission
The Planning Commission has powers specified by Title 31, Article 23, of the Colorado Revised Statutes. This board is an advisory body to the city council and reviews annexations, rezoning, subdivisions, planned unit developments and formulates a long-range comprehensive plan.
The Planning Commission consists of 7 members appointed for four-year terms by the City Council. The Commission approves changes in the City's Comprehensive Plan, makes recommendations on annexations, rezonings, development plans, subdivisions, and Land Development Code amendments.

The Planning Commission normally meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month. When the first of the month falls on a Tuesday, the meetings are then scheduled on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. for general business and study session items, and at 7:00 p.m. for public hearings in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 8101 Ralston Road. You must be a resident of the City of Arvada to apply.
