No Proof of Insurance Charges

The Court does not accept insurance cards as proof of insurance.

The Court will only accept a letter faxed directly from an insurance agent as proof.

Please contact your insurance agent and request that a letter be faxed to the Court at (720) 898-7164 stating the following information:

The defendant's name, a description of the vehicle, and coverage for the date and time the ticket was issued.  (This information and process is also described on the back of your yellow copy of the ticket you received.)

If all of the information is valid, the City Attorney will dismiss the charge of No Proof of Insurance.

If you have another charge on your ticket, you will need to appear in Court on your scheduled court date.

If you do not have another charge on your ticket, call to confirm that the charge was dismissed. There is a $20.00 administrative fee for successful dismissals, due within 10 days of proof provided.

The dismissal is not effective until both the proof and fee are received. A warrant may be issued if both are not received by your court date.
