Have you ever wished upon a falling star? Why do they fall and what exactly is a falling star? Join The Denver Astronomical Society during the peak of the 2012 Perseid Meteor Shower for a thrilling evening of meteors and star gazing. There will be a short introduction on why this phenomenon happens, and then we will head outside to watch the meteors and enjoy a chance to see Mars and Saturn through the telescope, weather permitting.
