Meeting Podcasts

Podcasting is a method of publishing audio and video programs via the Internet that lets users subscribe to a feed of new files (usually MP3s). The term can be misleading since neither podcasting nor listening to podcasts requires an iPod or any portable player. Simply put, this allows you to subscribe to and download audio recordings of City meetings or functions to your podcast application, just as you would music.  So good programs for managing podscasts are iTunes (4.9 or higher) from Apple, FeedDemon, or iPodder.

Once you subscribe, your program will automatically update and download new meeting podcasts. Then you can listen to them when it is convenient for you.  Or you could simply listen to them on your computer, no portable device is needed. Subscribing to podcasts is an extremely useful way to keep up to speed of the 'goings on' of City and Community meetings. This is a new service for users. We are starting with the Arvada City Council and Planning Commission meetings and will add more audio recordings as they occur.
