Live at the Fillmore East: A Photographic Memoir
Theater Gallery
This exhibition showcases photographs of rock and roll legends by New York artist Amalie R. Rothschild, taken from 1968 to 1971, when the Fillmore East theater in New York City was the rock and jazz musical capital of the East Coast. Rothschild shot nearly 20,000 pictures at Fillmore East, many of which are now recognized as a documentary history of the era and its music. The Arvada Center’s exhibition – provided through the courtesy of Denver’s Michele Mosko Gallery – features many of Rothschild’s best.
Opening reception Thursday, June 10, 2010, 6:00 – 9:00 pm
