International Conflict Resolution Day

International Conflict Resolution Day is designated by the Association of Conflict Resolution (acrnet.org) to increase public awareness about conflict resolution and its many benefits. ACR has set the third Thursday in October as International Conflict Resolution Day. This year it is October 18, 2007.

Prince Cedza Dlamini, grandson of Nelson Mandela, will speak about “Ubuntu: Interconnectedness and Conflict Resolution” on October 18 at the Auraria campus in Denver. This will be a day and evening of events that are free and open to the public.

The Colorado Planning Committee for the celebration and observance of this day invites everyone to participate in some way in reducing violence in our communities. Please visit www.cocrday.org to see how you, your group, family, business, school, congregation or organization can participate.

There are many and varied ways to join others in building a citizenry more educated and aware of nonviolent problem solving possibilities.
We look forward to hearing from you about your ideas and enthusiasm.
