Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste

Many household chemicals pose serious health risks if not properly handled, stored, and disposed of. It has never been easier to remove these hazards from your home.

Residents of Arvada, Colorado may use the Rooney Road Recycling Center (see related links) to dispose of household hazardous chemicals. Up to 75 pounds of household chemicals can be dropped off at the Rooney Road Recycling Center for a nominal fee. Batteries, tires, motor oil (20 gallon limit), and up to 10 one-gallon cans of latex paint do not count toward the 75-pound limit.
