Council for the Arts and Humanities
Arts Council members advocate for the arts and humanities and for the Arvada Center, and are committed fundraisers and informed advisors to the City of Arvada and Arvada Center staff. Projects on the current work plan, both short-term and long-term, include:
- Establishment of a Public Art Policy;
- Support of increased goals for the annual operating fund;
- Promoting education opportunities at the Arvada Center;
- Targeted recruitment of Board Membership.
Board meetings are generally on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m., with committee meetings at various other times on a monthly basis. This is a volunteer appointment. Term of office is three years. Applications for this board are accepted continuously throughout the year.
