Convergence: Painting with Music

Twenty performance painters from Colorado
and across the nation converge to show works produced in the Denny Dent
manner—live and at concerts, painting not literally with music as a medium but
rather with music as a co-creative impulse. Guest-curated by Arvada’s
own Keith “Scramble” Campbell, himself a recognized performance painter, the
exhibition demonstrates the legitimate and evolving art movement of performance
painting. The Arvada Center
serves as the summer hub for these artists, many of whom will also appear in
other Denver metro music venues.
