Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Denver
In addition to providing families with shelter, the IHN professional staff conunsels parents in their search for jobs and housing, and assists in solving other issues that confront families experiencing homelessness. Session are held in financial management and parenting. Safe childcare space and toys are available also.
IHN houses families 24/7. Since opening in 1997, IHN has provided over 61,000 individual days of care and nights of lodging. In 2005, IHN assisted 75%of guest families find housing and 78% achieve economic improvement. An average of 44 days in the IHN program is needed for a family to meet their goals and find affordable housing. As the cost of housing continues to rise, the average length of stay is increasing. IHN of Greater Denver is vital in solving the community problem of homelessness.
