World Advocates

World Advocates is an international relief and development organization meeting the physical and social needs of the world's poorest of the poor through emergency relief care and long-term personal and community development. World Advocates recruits, develops, and sends multi-talented teams to developing nations for medical relief, vocational and literacy training, the creation of micro-businesses, and a number of other long-term community development projects.

Presently our efforts are focused in three regions:
Nuakchott, Mauritania (North Africa)

Herat, Afghanistan

Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina

Our teams work in conjunction with other international relief and development agencies to bring long-term, societal change to areas we target. World Advocates teams are involved in a variety of projects, including food distribution programs, vocational training, medical supply procurement, and basic medical care. While much of our present work is directly with children, World Advocates teams focus on those population segments which are the neediest.
