Jefferson Center for Mental Health (Jefferson Center) is the private not-for-profit community mental health center serving Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin counties since 1958. Jefferson Center’s mission is to promote mental health and provide quality mental health services to persons with emotional problems and/or serious mental illness. Promoting recovery is a strong value at Jefferson Center; recovery occurs when consumers are empowered, making responsible choices while involved in, and supported by, the community. Recognized statewide as a leader in mental health, several Jefferson Center programs have been honored with awards in Best Practices from the Colorado Behavioral Health Care Council.

Arvada residents in need of mental health services can benefit from a full range of Jefferson Center’s comprehensive mental health services including outpatient counseling and case management, home visitation, 24-hour emergency services, medication evaluation and management, hospital-alternative programs, residential care, case management, vocational assistance, access to in-patient facilities, school-based counseling at three elementary schools in Arvada (Foster, Lawrence and Russell), the ROAD, a drop-in resource center for youth, and early intervention services for at-risk children.
