Counseling Information:
Evaluations:
Mental Health and Substance Abuse Evaluations must be completed through a certified counselor and the defendant must appear in court to review the counselor’s recommendations with the Judge.
Counseling:
Domestic Violence Counseling is normally 36 weeks long and must be completed through a certified Domestic Violence Counselor. The Court must receive monthly reports of compliance or the defendant must appear in court to explain why he/she is not compliant.
Mental Health Counseling must be completed through a certified Mental Health Counselor. The length of mental health counseling is decided by the Judge and the counselor based on monthly reports of compliance to the Court.
Substance Abuse Counseling must be completed through a certified Substance Abuse Counselor and the Court must receive monthly reports of compliance, or the defendant must appear in court to explain why he/she is not compliant.
