ARVADA HOSTING BIKE TO WORK DAY
Arvada, CO . . . . Dust off that bike, pump up the tires, enjoy a beautiful Colorado day, and save gas money by participating in Bike to Work Day on Wednesday, June 25!
The City of Arvada is hosting three Bike to Work breakfast stations as part of the metro-wide effort to get commuters out of their cars and onto their bikes. One will be at Memorial Park, located at W. 59th Avenue and Ammons Street (directly north of Arvada City Hall), easily accessible from the Ralston Creek Trail. The second station will be at the Susan Duncan YMCA, located at 6350 Eldridge Street just off of W. 64th Avenue. Wide sidewalks and some striped bike lanes make biking a breeze on W. 64th Avenue. The third station is at Panera Bread, located at 7739 Wadsworth Boulevard.
All breakfast stations will open at 6:30 a.m. and will offer a variety of food and drink to reward your biking efforts. Thanks to Panera Bread for providing a station and donating bagels for our other two stations.
Do your part to cut traffic congestion and pollution! Remember that carpooling or walking are also great options for Bike to Work Day.
