Arvada Council for the Arts and Humanities Welcomes New Member
ARVADA, CO – The Arvada Council for the Arts and Humanities is pleased to announce Debra Condo as the newest council member.
Debra Condo has a graduate degree from Keller Graduate School, and is a graduate of Vincennes University and Ball State University in Indiana. Ms. Condo relocated to Golden, Colorado in 2003 and now works for MillerCoors (formerly Coors Brewing Company) as a transportation analyst. In 2005, Ms. Condo opened Gift Basket Junction, a one-of-a-kind custom gift basket company, and in 2007, her company was named among the nations Top 100 Gift Basket Companies. "I grew up in a family that enjoyed the arts, theater in particular, [so] I satisfy the artist in me through my basket company," states Ms. Condo. The Arvada Center is honored to have Ms. Condo as part of the Arts Council. "I want everyone to know about the Arvada Center. It seems that too few do," she enthuses.
The role of the Arvada Council for the Arts and Humanities is to advise the Arvada City Council, provide guidance and support to the Arvada Center staff and act as an advocate for public support and funding for the Arvada Center. Each council member provides advice to the Arvada City Council about the Arvada Center on a periodic basis. Members provide volunteer assistance at Arvada Center events, help raise financial resources to support Arvada Center programs, serve on at least one Arvada Center committee and participate in committee projects. New additions to the Arts Council are made by appointment. The Arts Council members are:
