Buddy...The Buddy Holly Story--Additional Shows Just Added!
Audiences are seeing why
"It's So Easy" to fall in love with Buddy!
ARVADA, CO – The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is excited to add performances to its summer hit Buddy…The Buddy Holly Story.
Audiences will have two more chances to see Buddy—Sunday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. Buddy runs July 8 – August 3, 2008 in the Main Stage Theater. Due to actor availability, the show won't be extended past the original closing date.
The Denver Post raves, "It's so easy to fall in love with this rousing rock 'n' roll musical, and "Lansberry's crew blows the Arvada Center's roof into Westminster." Rocky Mountain News calls Buddy "a phenomenal concert with an energy that transcends tribute."
Before the Beatles, before Elvis, there was Buddy Holly. This award-winning, rockin'-boppin' musical revives the 1950's icon who defined the future of rock-and-roll. In an electrifying musical celebration, two of Holly's unforgettable performances are recreated: the Crickets' appearance at the Apollo Theatre and his final concert with Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper. The show also features Buddy's classic songs, including "Peggy Sue," "That'll Be the Day," "Oh Boy" and "Not Fade Away," plus Richie Valens' "La Bamba" and the Big Bopper's "Chantilly Lace." Audiences of all ages will find "It's So Easy" to fall in love with Buddy.
