Academy Offers Teens Taste of Policing

Teens between the ages 16 and 18 will have a unique opportunity to learn about police work at the 2008 Teen Police Academy slated for July 21-25.

Members of the Arvada Police Department will teach students about many aspects of policing including building searches, arrest tactics and criminal law. The cost of the event $25 and students participating in the event will get a t-shirt.

To apply for the Teen Police Academy, students should have a valid driver’s license and a GPA of at least 2.0. Contact Deb Medina at 720-898-6673 for an application.
