6th Annual Wine & Arts Classic
ARVADA, CO – The Arvada Council for the Arts and Humanities and Primo Vino are proud to present the 6th Annual Wine and Arts Classic, a benefit to keep the Arvada Center galleries free to the public, on Friday, June 6, 2008 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Arvada Center, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd.
Join 400
wine and art enthusiasts for an evening of the finer things in life, featuring
a wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction and guest artists creating
original artwork. Arvada's premier event features 12 local distributors from a
myriad of wineries. Participants will also get a first glimpse of the upcoming
exhibitions in the Center's three gallery spaces—Summer of Cycles: Motorcycles from the Harry Mathews
and Jim Dillard Collections, Spokes,
and
Haley Mariah: Worn Out – from the Inside Out.
Now in its sixth year, the Wine and Arts Classic raises funds to support the Arvada Center galleries. The galleries provide visual arts experiences for more than 20,000 adults and children each year; create accessible displays and exhibitions for people with disabilities; provide opportunities for Title 1 (low income) schools to attend our galleries and learn about contemporary art; and keep the Arvada Center galleries free to the public.
Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple, and $125 per person ($250 per couple) for a VIP Wine Tasting Package (includes a private tour of the Harry Mathews Motorcycle Exhibition, private wine room with rare fine wines and gift bags). To purchase tickets, call the Arvada Center box office at (720) 898-7200 or visit arvadacenter.org. For more information about the event, please contact Krista Lewis at (720) 898-7226.
The Arvada Center gratefully acknowledges the following event sponsors: AAARK Heating and Air Conditioning, Arvada Economic Development Association, A Line, Arvada Press, Arvada Urban Renewal Authority, Bank of Choice, City of Arvada, First Bank, Kissinger and Fellman, Mayer Bob and Candy Frie, Pridemark Paramedic Services, Primo Vino, Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), Tuthill & Hughes LLP, Vintage Sales LCC and Wells Fargo.
The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is one
of the metro area's largest cultural attractions, devoted to all aspects of the
arts. It is generously supported by the Scientific & Cultural Facilities
District (SCFD).
